For Vickie & John, finding a builder that used local trades, supported local suppliers and listened to their individual needs was a must. And they found that in Bryan & Petersen. Read about their journey below:
Vicki: Hi, we’re Vicki and Alan. We built a house in Warrnambool with Bryan and Petersen a couple of years ago and we’re extremely happy with the final product. From the whole process of the planning through to all the design, working with the Project Manager and all the staff at Bryan and Petersen, we’re so pleased to have this great home.
Alan: The façade of this house fits its location in the street really, really well. We, I suppose, wanted something that was built in an existing neighbourhood without sticking out. We wanted it to just fit within and belong to the place. Using their designs, we looked at it and pushed things around with their help and developed what we now have, which is good.
Vicki: Oh, look, I love that it has fitted in the street and people comment to us. It was a very popular build in our area. People watched it built. We had some things delivered here and a few people thought it was a renovated home. Now for an older-looking façade, that was a real tick for Bryan and Petersen to, to think it had been a renovated home. So, look, I love it. It flows well. It’s got that older style in a way and I like that, but it’s got a modern feel when you get inside as well, so we’ve got a bit of both.
Bryan and Petersen gave us a colour day, they called it. And it was a whole day – we were there from 10 til 4 and they had their Interior Designer there and she… we went through and picked everything. We picked every tap, we picked every tile or colour. She gave us some information to go and look further if they didn’t have it there with them. And that helped. We had some ideas ourself and it’s a big thing styling a house. And you don’t do it very often and, you’re paying, you know, a lot of money so you want it right. So that was very valuable. And we actually used their interior designer ourselves with a few other things as it went along. It was valuable because it just gave us confidence that we were going along the right track.
If we ever built again we absolutely would go to them. We went to them originally because of their sincerity and their professionalism. So absolutely we’d go back to them and we’d recommend them to anyone. And we have done so. Because it was a build in a busy sort of street we had a lot of people asking who’s built the house. And we would have people pull up out the front and look at the house.
We just loved the whole process and we were really blown away, I suppose, with this process. We’ve built before. But we’d never been looked after like this. Even with the billing and all of that sort of stuff – it was seamless. It was correct, the staff were just wonderful. Andy, who’s in charge here in Warrnambool, is just a lovely guy and nothing was ever a problem. So the whole team at Bryan and Petersen were great. We’d really recommend them. All their trades. They have local trades and that’s great because we want to support local. And so that’s very important. It was a very important thing to us. And they are very supportive of local trades in the area, which is great.
So the final product speaks for itself and we’re extremely happy.
